Commercial Boulder Dash Clones - MS DOS

Introduction

This is the commercial MS DOS section. Here you can find commercial Boulderdash games that run in MS DOS (an Operating System). MS DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System) is the Operating System software developed for 16-bit Intel processors and shipped with the first IBM PCs, and until the introduction of Microsoft Windows. DOS uses a command-line user interface.

Because MS-DOS was used on older PCs, the games designed for DOS don't work very well on the modern PCs anymore. Especially Windows XP has a lot of problems with them, because it does not have a DOS interface anymore. You could try the DOSGames.com Windows XP hints to fix those problems. Another option is using a DOS emulator like DOSBox. That's a program to imitate the old MS-DOS Operating System.

Below are the MS DOS games. Download them and enjoy!

Game name: Blow Up! (full version)

Homepage: Unknown
Platforms: MS DOS
Blow Up! is a classic oldie, dating from 1987. It is a game to be run on MSX computers. These computers also support MS DOS. The game has got very simple graphics and sounds, but is nevertheless fun because of its many different types of objects and enemies. The name refers to the way how the game works: you have to shoot your enemies (and the 'gems' you have to collect can be shot as well)! Despite its very simple graphics, I would recommend this little game to everyone who wants to play nostalgic games from ancient times...
